We wanted to share a quick reminder with everyone
We have recently come across a few electrical products that were not properly certified for use in Canada/BC, despite appearing legitimate.
To help save everyone time, money and frustration, please check the certification label before purchasing any electrical product.
If you're looking at purchasing something online or from a supplier and you're unsure whether it is approved, send us a picture of the certification label before you purchase it.
We're happy to take a quick look and help confirm whether the product appears to have the appropriate certification. A quick photo and check beforehand can save everyone from purchasing equipment that later needs to be returned or replaced.
Before you purchase:
Check for the certification/approval mark on the actual product.
Don't rely solely on the online listing or packaging.
If you're unsure, send us a photo and we'll check it for you.
